DAMPAK PEMBANGUNAN SUMUR BOR TERHADAP TRANSFORMASI PENDIDIKAN DAN PENGUATAN INTEGRASI SOSIAL DI LINGKUNGAN PESANTREN HIDAYATULLAH SELOLIMAN

Akses terhadap air bersih merupakan fondasi utama bagi kesehatan, pendidikan, dan kesejahteraan komunitas. Pesantren Hidayatullah Seloliman dan masyarakat di sekitarnya telah lama menghadapi tantangan dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan air bersih, terutama saat musim kemarau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran strategis pembangunan sumur bor di lingkungan pesantren. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus, penelitian ini menggali tiga aspek utama: (1) dampak sumur bor terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan air di pesantren, (2) perannya dalam mendukung kegiatan pendidikan, dan (3) kontribusinya bagi pemberdayaan masyarakat serta penguatan hubungan sosial. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pimpinan pesantren, santri, dan tokoh masyarakat, serta observasi langsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sumur bor secara signifikan telah menjamin ketersediaan air bersih untuk kebutuhan sanitasi, konsumsi, dan ibadah di pesantren. Lebih jauh, keberadaan sumber air yang stabil memungkinkan pengembangan program pendidikan berbasis keterampilan (life skills) seperti pertanian dan perikanan, serta meningkatkan fokus belajar santri karena tidak lagi terbebani tugas mengambil air. Sumur bor ini juga berfungsi sebagai instrumen sosial yang mempererat hubungan antara pesantren dan masyarakat melalui penyediaan akses air bagi warga sekitar, yang pada gilirannya mendorong pemberdayaan ekonomi skala kecil dan memupuk semangat gotong royong. Disimpulkan bahwa sumur bor bukan hanya infrastruktur fisik, melainkan aset vital yang menjadi katalisator bagi kemajuan pendidikan, kesehatan, dan keharmonisan sosial di Pesantren Hidayatullah Seloliman dan komunitas sekitarnya.
Access to clean water is a fundamental foundation for the health, education, and well-being of a community. The Hidayatullah Seloliman Islamic Boarding School (Pesantren) and its surrounding community have long faced challenges in meeting their clean water needs, especially during the dry season. This study aims to analyze the strategic role of building a bore well within the pesantren environment. Using a qualitative approach and a case study method, this research explores three key aspects: (1) the bore well's impact on fulfilling the pesantren's water needs, (2) its role in supporting educational activities, and (3) its contribution to community empowerment and strengthening social relations. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with pesantren leaders, students (santri), and community figures, as well as direct observation. The research findings indicate that the bore well has significantly ensured the availability of clean water for sanitation, consumption, and religious rituals at the pesantren. Furthermore, the stable water source has enabled the development of skills-based education programs (life skills) such as agriculture and fisheries, while also improving students' focus on learning as they are no longer burdened with the task of fetching water. The bore well also serves as a social instrument that strengthens the relationship between the pesantren and the community by providing water access to nearby residents. This, in turn, fosters small-scale economic empowerment and cultivates a spirit of mutual cooperation. It is concluded that the bore well is not merely a physical infrastructure but a vital asset that acts as a catalyst for educational advancement, health improvement, and social harmony at Pesantren Hidayatullah Seloliman and its surrounding community..
