Background: Hypertension is said to be a disease that can kill silently or a silent killer. Progressive Muscle Relaxation therapy and classical music are useful for lowering blood pressure by gently tensing and relaxing muscles accompanied by classical music. This study aims to determine the effect of Progressive Muscle Relaxation and classical music on reducing Mean Arterial Pressure in hypertension patients at the Gribig Health Center. Quantitative research, using the "Quasi Experimental Pre-Post Test With Control Group" research design with data collection techniques using the Purposive Sampling method. With Progressive Muscle Relaxation intervention accompanied by classical music. This study used two groups, namely the control group and the intervention group. The population in this study were hypertension patients who participated in Prolanis at the Gribig Health Center with a sample size of 32 respondents. The instruments used in this study included observation sheets and digital tensiometers. Data analysis used the paired t-test. The results of this study indicate that in the intervention group p value = 0.000 Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, then there is an effect of progressive muscle relaxation therapy accompanied by classical music on the mean arterial pressure value. While in the control group p value = 0.811, there is no effect of progressive muscle relaxation technique visual video on decreasing the Mean Arterial Pressure value of hypertensive patients.
