HUBUNGAN ANTARA MOTIVASI DENGAN TINGKAT STRES MAHASISWA YANG SEDANG MENGERJAKAN SKRIPSI DI STIKES SANTA ELISABETH MEDAN 2024

Abstrak

Mahasiswa dituntut agar bisa menyelesaikan studinya tepat waktu. Pada semester akhir, mahasiswa akan diberikan tugas penelitian akhir, yang berupa karya ilmiah atau disebut dengan skripsi. Skripsi merupakan bukti pemahaman akademik mahasiswa dan tidak hanya sebagai syarat akhir untuk mendapatkan gelar, tetapi juga salah satu syarat kelulusan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara motivasi dengan tingkat stres mahasiswa yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi di Stikes Santa Elisabeth Medan. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif-analitis dengan studi cross-sectional. Instrumen yan digunakan adalah kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan motivasi tinggi sebanyak 57 mahasiswa (96,6 %) dan mayoritas tingkat stres tinggi sebanyak 55 mahasiswa (93,2 %). Analisis data dengan uji Chi-square diperoleh p-value 0,013 < 0,05) yang artinya ada hubungan antara motivasi dengan tingkat stres mahasiswa yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi di Stikes Santa Elisabeth Medan. Di sini mahasiswa diharapkan mampu mengatasi stres dan meningkatkan motivasinya untuk mengerjakan skripsinya, karena dengan adanya motivasi yang tinggi dapat membuat orang berfikir positif serta mempercepat penyelesaian skripsinya.

The thesis is proof of a student's academic understanding and is not only the final requirement for obtaining a degree, but also one of the requirements for graduation. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between motivation and stress levels of students who are working on their thesis at Stikes Santa Elisabeth Medan. This research design uses descriptive-analytical with a cross-sectional study. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The research results showed high motivation of 57 students (96.6%) and the majority had high stress levels of 55 students (93.2%). Data analysis using the Chi-square test obtained a p-value of 0.013 < 0.05), which means there is a relationship between motivation and the stress level of students who are working on their thesis at Stikes Santa Elisabeth Medan. Here, students are expected to be able to overcome stress and increase their motivation to work on their thesis, because high motivation can make people think positively and speed up the completion of their thesis.
