Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi penggunaan metode Discovery Learning dalam
pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) selama pandemi COVID-19 di SMP Nihayatul Amal.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara,
dan analisis konten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Discovery Learning dapat
meningkatkan partisipasi siswa dan pemahaman konsep PAI meskipun terdapat beberapa kendala
seperti keterbatasan teknologi dan adaptasi metode pembelajaran. Kesimpulannya, metode Discovery
Learning efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran PAI selama pandemi dengan penyesuaian tertentu. 

This study aims to explore the implementation of Discovery Learning method in Islamic Education at
SMP Nihayatul Amal Rawamerta. This method was chosen for its potential to enhance students'
understanding of religious concepts through active exploration of learning materials. The research
employed a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving classroom observations,
interviews with teachers and students, and analysis of curriculum documents and learning outcomes.
Findings indicate that the application of Discovery Learning motivates students to engage more
actively in learning, deepens their understanding of religious concepts, and increases their
involvement in the teaching-learning process. However, challenges in implementation were also
identified, such as the need for intensive material preparation and structured support for students.
This study is expected to contribute positively to the development of more effective religious
education methods at the junior high school level.
