Abstrak

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar matematika siswa kelas XI F SMA Negeri 4 Palu melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament (TGT) dengan bantuan media interaktif GeoGebra. Latar belakang penelitian berawal dari rendahnya motivasi belajar yang ditandai minimnya partisipasi aktif, kurangnya antusiasme, serta kesulitan siswa memahami konsep matematika yang bersifat abstrak. Jenis penelitian yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus melalui tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 35 siswa yang terdiri atas 13 laki-laki dan 22 perempuan pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket motivasi, observasi, dan dokumentasi, lalu dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan peningkatan signifikan, yaitu skor rata-rata motivasi dari 57,4 pra-siklus (kategori rendah), naik menjadi 72,2 pada siklus I (kategori sedang), dan mencapai 89,6 pada siklus II (kategori tinggi). Peningkatan tersebut terlihat dari partisipasi siswa, pemanfaatan GeoGebra, serta antusiasme saat turnamen kelompok.

This research was conducted to improve the motivation to learn mathematics of class XI F students of SMA Negeri 4 Palu through the implementation of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model with the help of interactive GeoGebra media. The background of the research began with low learning motivation characterized by minimal active participation, lack of enthusiasm, and students' difficulties in understanding abstract mathematical concepts. The type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in two cycles through the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the research were 35 students consisting of 13 boys and 22 girls in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were collected through motivation questionnaires, observation, and documentation, then analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of the study showed a significant increase, namely the average motivation score from 57.4 pre-cycle (low category), rising to 72.2 in cycle I (medium category), and reaching 89.6 in cycle II (high category). This increase was seen from student participation, utilization of GeoGebra, and enthusiasm during group tournaments.
