UPAYA GURU DALAM MENUMBUHKAN SIKAP TOLERANSI SISWA DI KELAS III SD NEGERI 0108 BULU SONIK

Pembentukan sikap toleransi siswa merupakan salah satu tantangan penting dalam pendidikan dasar, terutama di tengah keberagaman latar belakang sosial dan karakter peserta didik. SD Negeri 0108 Bulu Sonik menghadapi permasalahan masih rendahnya sikap toleransi siswa kelas III, yang terlihat dari perilaku kurang menghargai perbedaan pendapat, sikap egois, dan kurangnya kerja sama antar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis upaya guru dalam menumbuhkan sikap toleransi siswa melalui proses pembelajaran dan pembiasaan di lingkungan sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan guru, serta dokumentasi kegiatan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa upaya guru melalui keteladanan, pembiasaan sikap saling menghargai, penerapan kerja kelompok, diskusi kelas, serta pemberian penguatan positif mampu menumbuhkan sikap toleransi siswa. Lingkungan kelas yang kondusif dan komunikasi yang baik antara guru dan siswa turut memperkuat internalisasi nilai toleransi. Kesimpulannya, upaya guru yang dilakukan secara konsisten dan terintegrasi dalam pembelajaran efektif dalam menumbuhkan sikap toleransi siswa kelas III di SD Negeri 0108 Bulu Sonik.
The development of students’ tolerance attitudes is one of the important challenges in elementary education, especially in the context of diverse social backgrounds and student characteristics. SD Negeri 0108 Bulu Sonik faces the problem of a low level of tolerance among third-grade students, which is reflected in behaviors such as a lack of respect for differing opinions, egocentric attitudes, and limited cooperation among students. This study aims to analyze teachers’ efforts to foster students’ tolerance attitudes through learning processes and habituation activities within the school environment. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with teachers, and documentation of learning activities. The findings indicate that teachers’ efforts through role modeling, habituation of mutual respect, the implementation of group work, classroom discussions, and the provision of positive reinforcement are effective in fostering students’ tolerance attitudes. A conducive classroom environment and good communication between teachers and students further strengthen the internalization of tolerance values. In conclusion, consistent and integrated teachers’ efforts within the learning process are effective in developing tolerance attitudes among third-grade students at SD Negeri 0108 Bulu Sonik.
