Abstrak

This study explores efforts to build learning independence and social care of students in elementary schools through social studies learning. Given the importance of both abilities in character building and student readiness in facing global challenges. The focus of the research covers the entire learning process, from planning, implementation, to project evaluation to determine the impact on the development of these two skills. The research methodology uses a qualitative research approach. The type of research conducted by the researcher is a descriptive case study. Data was collected through classroom observation, interviews with teachers, and school documentation. The research findings show that there is a planning stage to develop the learning module including goal setting, development of assessment rubrics that focus on learning independence and social care, and design of learning activities. At the implementation stage, students are actively involved in learning activities that involve identifying social problems, planning solutions, and implementing social activities. The evaluation stage is carried out by measuring changes in students' learning independence and social care using project assessment. The results show the importance of careful planning, structured implementation, and social outcome-focused evaluation to facilitate the development of students' learning independence and social care.
