This act of worship not only serves as a means of communication between the servant and Allah SWT, but also has a significant influence on character development, inner peace, and the social life of a Muslim. This article aims to examine the concept of prayer from a fiqh perspective, covering its definition, status, wisdom, conditions, pillars, invalidators, and a discussion of prayer times according to the four schools of jurisprudence. The method employed is library research, involving the analysis of various relevant classical and contemporary fiqh literature. The results of the study indicate that prayer possesses very broad spiritual, moral, and social dimensions. In addition to being a form of submission to Allah SWT, prayer also plays a role in fostering discipline, improving moral character, strengthening social solidarity, and providing psychological peace.
